A safe haven for children in struggling urban neighborhoods

Northwest Indiana Friendship House plans to provide a safe haven for young people in struggling neighborhoods. We will offer educational and recreational activities for young people that is both secure and open. Our goal is to be a place where positive influence and offset all of the outer voices that plague and drive young people into destructive and self-defeating activities.

Young People one of our Focus groups.

We hope the Northwest Indiana Friendship House will be filled with the noise and laughter of young people every day. Some doing crafts, while others are doing athletics with friends or preparing for some academic test with their mentor. There will always be a variety of educational and recreational activities to keep young people busy after school and off the streets.
